The Happy ZZZ’s team recently traveled to Dallas, TX to learn from other business owners in the industry. Here is what we learned!

Customer Obsession

The theme of the conference we attended was customer obsession. It is no longer sufficient to just offer good customer service. Happy ZZZ’s wants to go above and beyond and offer you an experience that you will remember many years from now. Our owner, Scott Vaughn, got invited to speak on this topic at the conference. We all came away with some great advice from our peers on how we can improve our customer experience.

The $315,000 Mattress

Yes, you read that correctly. $315,000 for a mattress. We had the pleasure of visiting the Dallas Luxury Bed Collection where we got to see some of the most expensive mattresses in the world and learn from their staff about what it takes to sell these luxury beds. A couple keys to their process – They prioritize building value in their product line and going above and beyond to satisfy their customers’ needs. What do you guys think about adding this $315,000 mattress to our showroom floor in Paducah?

Aireloom Plant Tour

We were some of the first visitors to see the new Aireloom plant in Dallas, TX. Aireloom mattresses are handcrafted by expert mattress craftsmen. We got to see the entire process of building a mattress firsthand from seeing the raw materials that go into making each mattress all the way to the finished product. One of the highlights for us was to see the hand tufting process in person. This is where the mattress is first compressed, then 63 individual threaded needles are drawn through the entire mattress until they are eventually tied off at the bottom. This compresses the foam to help prevent body impressions and holds the layers of the mattress together without using harsh glues.

When we come back from these short trips, we always arrive reenergized and ready to bring our new ideas back home to Western Kentucky! Our hope is to always look for new ways to improve our service and to give our customers the very best products and experience at Happy ZZZ’s!
